Take cover! I'm blowing the dust off of this blog. I haven't been here in so long and I've missed you all. I figured the start of a new decade was as good a time as any to make a comeback.

I've been writing while I've been away, but just haven't felt compelled to bring my words here, but maybe it's time to come back. Do people even read blogs anymore? Well, if you've made it this far, thank you for being here! Roll over the word "here" anywhere you see it below for a clickable link to my words.

I wrote about having an ongoing conversation with God on The Glorious Table here and also wrote a piece for them about fearing the What Ifs here. I was honored to write a piece for author Lauren Flake on grief here. In it, I made mention of Marianne's encouragement of my grief process of my mom. Now she's gone as well. I still cannot wrap my mind around a world without her in it. But of course, she's in so many parts of it.

My dear friend and author, Kelly Johnson invited me to share some of the words I spoke at Marianne's memorial with her readers. Such an honor to speak to God's invitation for us to color just as Marianne did so beautifully in her life. You can read those words here.

It's fitting that one of the last things I wrote this year was about Texas and how wrong I was about her. Is Texas female? All I know is after being here eight years, I'm beginning to understand her appeal and charm and I'm grateful to be here. You can read my thoughts on Texas and our move here.

Cheers to new beginnings!
